Build: Robbie, the Creativity Enhancer
The idea is to have a compact main module
made of the EV3 brick, two motors, and the touch sensor. On this module, you can attach other modules (that uses the motors
on the main modules). I designed three
of them: a jackpot, a musical module, and a timer.
This concept
has many advantages:
- You can easily switch the attached
module; it’s like having more than one robot.
- I know
that incorporating a motor in your build is quite tricky, with this project; you
don’t need to do that.
- You can build any other modules you want
with your Lego bricks. It's a real creativity enhancer
- This project could be used during
activities with children: just give them some Lego bricks, the main modules I
built, and let them build and code something.
- It can be build using only the EV3 kit.
In this video, I explain all the features
of the timer, musical module, and jackpot.
I gave the name Robbie after a famous robot
of Isaac Asimov’s books.
