Concept: Tooth Brushing Assistant

Purpose: This robot will help your kids to enjoy the tooth brushing time and build healthy habits.

How it works: The colour sensor (1) recognizes the kid by the toothbrush color. Then the hub which controls the motor (3) squeezes the paste. Kids at different ages need different amount of toothpaste and that info will be in the code. When ready to start brushing, kid approaches the distance sensor (2) with hand and two minute timer starts. During these two minutes, second motor (4) with attached axle pointer will assist the kids, showing them what zone of the mouth and how long to brush. After brushing is complete, a cheering sound will be played.

Building idea: The inner frame and mechanism example are shown in the photos. It can be easily recreated with the existing parts of LEGO® MINDSTORMS® sets.
