Build: Tracking Ball Launcher
This is a simple build, likely one of the first ideas many Mindstorms designers has. This is my take on the idea.
This build works by tracking the IR beacon with the IR sensor. it then tells the motor on the bottom to angle it toward the beacon. this works in an estimated 180 degree range as to avoid wrapping cables around the gears.
The touch sensor is attached as a needed counterweight.
This build could be improved on by adding supports to the gear assembly this gear assembly was added to avoid directly stressing the motor, but without supports, it would just bring all the stress to the gear and axle.
