The Gump House

Forrest Gump is a truly nostalgic classic, filled with people’s reminiscence of the 50s and 60s at the time of its release. 30 years later, it has then become a symbol of nostalgia for the 90s of our generation. When I was young, watching the movie and seeing the Gump house, its spaciousness, tranquility, and leisure, it felt like a dream home to me—someone who grew up in the densely populated city of Taipei.

Thanks to LEGO IDEAS increasing the maximum part limit to 5,000, I finally had the opportunity to bring this house to life using LEGO pieces. It is built with 4,981 pieces, and not only is the exterior faithfully recreated, but the interior also includes five major scenes from the movie: the dining room, living room, Forrest's childhood bedroom, the guest room where Elvis was stayed, and the bedroom where his mother and Jenny passed away.

2024 marks the 30th anniversary of Forrest Gump's release, and I hope this creation can bring back beautiful memories of the film for you.
