Independence Day 1996

One of my favorite films of the 90s, the blockbuster spectacular INDEPENDENCE DAY! It was such an incredible film at the time, especially the special effects which blew my mind. In fact I loved it so much I went to the cinema 3 times to see it to try to work out how they did it!

When I saw the LEGO 90s challenge I knew I had to try to recreate the famous scene where the aliens arrive and no-one yet knows their intentions. The build includes the giant alien ship, the White House and the main characters, Captain Hiller (Will Smith), President Whitmore (Billy Pullman) and computer scientist David Levison (Jeff Goldblum) as well as a smaller alien ship, the design of which I have always loved, and an alien!
