Captain Planet and the Planeteers (1990-1996)

Captain Planet taught a generation to "take pollution down to zero". One side of this double-sided tribute depicts the iconic moment when the Planeteers combine powers to summon Captain Planet. The other side shows the everyday nature conservation and appreciation that we can all contribute to help Mother Earth Gaia. Five forced-perspective environments reflect each Planeteer's element with a relevant animal (e.g. an iguana incubating eggs in volcanic ash, Gi's opening title dolphin, and Ma-Ti's monkey Suchi).

Amidst environmental challenges, the set reminds us that "the power is yours" to make a difference and, given all the conflict in the world, all people combining powers in common humanity is an important message - in a 90s font!

Shown in more than 100 countries, the show has a global appeal and empowering message to adults and children alike. The set is playable or a colourful double-sided display, with varied techniques and parts.
