Space Hover

Oceanography / Hydro-Patrol

  • Used for in-depth research on the VanGogh Lake of the 3rd moon of a Gas Giant
  • From Hydro-1 Station as its operation base, research missions are started to determine the composition of the liquids in the lake
  • The deep sea radars under the wing allow to scan and map the lake bottom
  • The transmitter dish (grey / blue combo) emits microwaves in various frequencies, the reflections are received by the small blue dishes on the wings
  • This allows to analyse the spectral response and thus the composition of the liquid in the lake
  • The Hovercraft is operated by two pilots, one keeping the direction, the other maintaining the height above the water surface
  • The pilots wear the uniforms of the newly formed hydro-patrol which currently operates exclusively on the 3rd moon for the time being. The liquid methane and carbondioxid lakes found on other moons have not yet been explored.
