Hovering Research Station
Through the course of time, we have discovered that Venus's atmosphere is incredibly dense. This means that hot-air balloon looking structures may yet find a place in the atmosphere of this very dangerous planet, as we make observations about it.
Shown here is a venus (or another planet) observatory space port, which hovers above the clouds of the planet, making scientific observations. It includes a safe option to launch rockets back to orbit.
This build is truly a new concept, one definitely "out of this world."
The platform features a retractable launch-arm for the rocket, a retractable mission control, rocket-fuel-tank farm, a forklift, solar panels, and two gas-filled balloons which keep the platform suspended above the thick atmosphere of a planet. The platform is attached by strong truss-work, which should be firm to grasp during use. The blimp-like structure has two electric-powered propeller engines.
It is currently built of 219 parts.
