Earth Moon and Sun Orrery

This working orrery demonstrates the orbit of the Moon around the Earth and the orbit of the Earth around the Sun to within a 4.5% accuracy.  (I was limited by the cogs at my disposal!) Operated by a winding lever which also rotates a small space craft.

The base shows the seasons, the months, the spring and autumn equinox and the summer and winter solstice.  Useful as an education tool to teach how our solar system works.  Or perhaps you could display it - this one now sits on my sideboard:-)
