The Layers of the Moon

Here are the Layers of the Moon as scientists have described them. The moon has most of the same layers the Earth has. This model shows a cross-section of the moon layer by layer, including the crust, the mantle, and the core. 

In this visualization, the light grey layer at the top represents the crust. The darker layer below that is the mantle, and at the bottom is the core–which is the darkest. As a simple display piece I think this would make a great gift-with-purchase set to showcase in your household.
