Steampunk Moonshot
Huzzah! With the help of the latest in steam propulsion technology, Her Majesty's Royal Astronautical Society had at last succeeded in putting a man on the moon: the intrepid Captain Joe Sprightly. But how would they now return him safely to earth?
Some of the earliest science fiction stories about travel to the moon were written during the Victorian period, when there was a huge interest in science and technology. These creative writers and filmmakers no doubt inspired the generation of rocket scientists who followed, eventually leading us to into the space age. It is thus fitting that one of my entries into the space competition should have a steampunk theme to it. I hope you will enjoy viewing the renders and consider voting for if it reaches the semi-finals. Many thanks!
