Space Rider

Jump aboard the Space Rider and go for a spin round the Galaxy.

I always want my builds to have a play factor, so turn the Jet on the base and watch the ride spin round. The Sun / Fireball also spins on it's axis. I wanted to build a ride that's different to the 'hanging' ride style and remembered the wheel based old style fairground rides from my youth.

I did a the base looking more like a shuttle but I felt it distracted from the ride vehicles so kept it a bit simpler.

I play tested this model a lot and tried various designs to make sure it works well and is sturdy. Each of the rides can be removed and played with as separate vehicles too.

So whether you want a kit to play with, or a therapeutic desk model, here's one for you.
