Hogwarts at First Sight

With this model, I recreated as faithfully as possible the first time Harry and his friends see Hogwarts, from their point of view. It is nighttime when the boats approach the castle across the misty lake, so they don't see Hogwarts in its splendor of green pastures, sandy bricks and blue rooftops. Instead, Hogwarts seems more like a dark shadow sprinkled with lights, towering over the students in their creaky boats. Even the moon has a dark and mystical air, hiding behind the clouds in the horizon. In a way, Hogwarts' first impression seems to foreshadow the dark times ahead for Harry and his friends.

The model consists of 796 pieces: 564 for the castle, fog, clouds and mountains, and 232 pieces for the boats. It was built using BrickLink Studio 2.1.9.
