The Second Year

The school year's off to a great start with Harry & Ron getting an earful by Snape first thing back. Filch & Mrs. Norris are jeering outside of Snape's office because students are in trouble. Professor McGonagall's on her way to the dungeons to deal with her Gryffindors, though she'd wish that Harry would have a normal year at school this time around (if she only knew).

Hidden behind a bare stretch of wall down a corridor where the Bloody Baron likes to do his rounds is the Slytherin Common Room. It's bathed in the eerie glow of the Great Lake: Draco Malfoy presents a brand new set of Quidditch brooms to secure his position as Seeker there. 

In the Entrance Hall the Weasley Twins are up to no good while Percy & his girlfriend Penelope do their rounds as Prefects. On the second floor there Moaning Myrtle gets her first visitor this school year: a unknowing Ginny, about to unleash the Basilisk - even unto Hermione who's already on her way to the library to catch up on some light reading.
