Thestral Carriage

My favorite return to Hogwarts is the beginning of Harrys 5th grade. That one Harry and his friends gets navigated on a school-carriage, wich seems to be driven by them own.

After he witnessed the return of Voldemord and the horrible death of Cedric 3 month earlier, Harry became one of the few students who could realize the truth. Who could see the Thestrals.

I really like the idea, that a horrible experience like watching someone die, will not only cause sorrow and pain, but also gives the gift to recognize the beauty of this wonderful creatures.

 

With this MOC I tried to capture the gritty athmosphere of the reference. The awe of Hogwarts is build in this big old trees with that early autumn-like look of an britisch september.

But also I wanted to hold the Thestral as the lead-character to take place as the center of this scene.

I don't have much experiences with MOCs of this kind, so please be kind. Let me know what you think about :)
