Dementor Encounter

Most likely, Harry’s worst trip aboard the Hogwarts Express was at the start of his 3rd year. I decided to build the scene when the dementor attacks the Hogwarts Express. It is looming around Platform 9 3/4 searching for Sirius Black. I wanted to get the illusion of the dementor floating, and the illusion of the smoke on the ground. There is also a bit of scenery to show the dementor waiting for the train to pull up so it can search it. The dementor stands 9 inches tall. I wanted to build in a scale other builders wouldn’t do, such as minifigure scale, so I built a large version of Platform 9 3/4. There is also some train track, a garbage can, and the famous 9 3/4 sign. The entire scene is built from official LEGO parts, even the cape, which is from the large version of Darth Vader.
