Falling Nightmare
Dreams and nightmares collide high in the sky, and a child who had just been snatched from his pleasant fantasies by a monstrous bat has been dropped and left to fall endlessly. Will the friendly owl catch him in time?
One of the most common nightmares is simply experiencing a fall, only to wake with a jerk in bed. I wanted to represent that while sticking to the DreamZzz spirit.
A few easter eggs:
-The owl is themed after Zoe
-Among the figures in the clouds of nightmares is a long-beaked raven
-Hidden in the golden clouds of dreams is a small reference to Z-Blob (while a little dark and hard to see, you can spot it in the last render on the right)
-The bat mostly uses the Nightmare King's aesthetic rather the Never Witch's but does feature parts of hers as well (his monsters are more skeletal and heavily feature white on top of the regular black and magenta whereas hers use purple)
I began this set planning to make a dragon, but as I went I found myself making a bat I really like.
