The Escape of the Nightmare King – The Grim Realm Is Born
This diorama depicts a Dream Keeper, the guardian of the dream realm created by Lunia to imprison the Nightmare King. The entire realm is being devoured by darkness and murk as it's turning into the nightmare kingdom.
Although we find out that the Nightmare King managed to escape the Keeper's cage and created his Grim Realm as a result it’s never shown directly in the series.
After learning about the origin of this walking prison I was fascinated to try to build it according to the model first crafted by Lunia.
The scenery is as I imagined the very moment after the escape right before the guardian was corrupted and turned into an evil Grim Keeper.
There’s an interesting interplay between dreams and nightmares in the series and it inspired me to craft this dynamic build.
