Mini LEGO Beta 1 Command Base (Set 6970)

This is a mini version of a LEGO space set that belonged to my dad as a kid and which was passed down to me when I was little. For many years the pieces to it were mixed in with all our other bricks, but a few years ago I became interested in the set and was able to rebuild the regular size set after many hours of searching through our LEGO bins. I chose to build a mini version of the set for the contest because it is iconic, it looks great, and it's just a fun set over all.
