Parisian Restaurant
The Modular Buildings line includes the most detailed, creative and grandiose sets LEGO has to offer, and to me the building that best shows this is 2014's Parisian Restaurant. I have created a roughly 1/2 scale representation of the model, using a selection of old and new parts from LEGO history. The blue roof is hinged inwards like the original model, and I have used SNOT techniques to represent the thinly-tiled curb on the edge of the sidewalk.
Other interesting parts usage includes the 2x3 window frame to represent door frames, minifigure neck bracket used as seats, and the heart tile used as roof decoration.
As one of LEGO's strongest and most ambitious sets, I am happy to have done it justice.
