Microscale Police Station (7498)
To truly test how micro a microscale recreation can be, I looked for one of the largest sets I owned. That is the 2011 Police Station from the LEGO City theme. The set was so much fun to build and took me hours to complete; however, none of the steps were too challenging and it was amazing to watch the build progress (until it was completed, of course).
The original police station was built on a 48x16 stud baseplate. Believe it or not, this microscale recreation only uses a 10x13 studded area that only consist of several standard plates. The build makes use of studs on the side construction and numerous transparent bricks.
One of my favorite techniques is the old phone piece being used as a guardrail to keep the police cars on the driveway. I also used piece 37352 to create the angled round windows on the police station. The figures make use of the Minifigure trophy pieces. Enjoy!
Oh, before I forget... Cheers to 90 years of play!
