Deep Freeze Defender

For my entry I chose of my favorite sets of all time, 6973 Deep Freeze Defender.

This was the last Lego set I got before my dark ages and it was the only really big spaceship I owned. So it’s very dear to me. I think it was a fantastic set.

I tried to keep it as close to the original as possible and also to keep many of the original play features intact with this micro version:
  • The different modules can be detached from each other
  • The middle module can be opened to reveal a small rocket (which can also connect to the probe)
  • The rear module stores a tiny hover sled

This build is purely digital, unfortunately not all the parts used are available in the colours that’d be needed, expecially the transparent neon orange ones and the black flower stem I had to use for the probe.
