Micro "Destiny's Bounty" (2012)
The 2012 version of the "Destiny's Bounty" holds a very special place in my heart. I remember seeing it introduced in Ninjago's first season as the Ninja's new headquarters, and 2012 me was absolutely stunned! Fast-forward to later that year when I was able to attend LEGO Kids Fest at my local convention center--my first introduction to the larger LEGO community--and lo and behold, there it was! Sitting at the top shelf of the Ninjago section at the convention store sat my flying pirate ship, waiting to be played with. Fast-forward again to today, and I'm proud to present this micro version of the set as a tribute to some of my fondest memories as a LEGO fan.
For it's microscale counterpart, I decided to recreate the full set's lineup (the "Bounty", Hypnobrai shrine, and microscale minifigures) and pay tribute to it's box art for my cover photo. Play features include opening sails, rotating engines, a firing cannon, and space for the micro minifigs.
Happy birthday, LEGO!
