Brickbeard’s Bounty: Set #6243 (Microscale)
I remember getting the Brickbeards Bounty from the 2009 Lego Pirates line on Christmas and absolutely loving every detail, character, and animal that decorated the set. It was MY pirate ship that I could sail across any surface in the house. I tried to reincorporate every detail I could remember from the original set to the microscale model I made, including the three cannons and lanterns attached to the stern. With this model, I also added a large shark made from five pieces, a dark blue rowboat made from 9 pieces, and a golden treasure chest made from three pieces; which all came from the original set. Some more details include the mermaid attached to the bow, the gray clips next to the second mast that act as ladders that lead up to the doors into the captain’s quarters, and the number of red stripes and white stripes on each sail (6 red and 5 white stripes, and 3 red and 4 white stripes for the front). I hope you appreciate this pirate ship as much as I enjoyed the original!
