Micro-Scale King's Castle: 6080
One of the first Lego Sets I ever owned, as well as one of my favourites; I've attempted to recreate the King's Castle: 6080 set in micro-scale.
As a kid, I loved all the play features this set had, including the working Drawbridge and Portcullis, the ability to open the set up at the back, and all the hidden rooms and weapons you'd typically find in a medieval castle.
To be as faithful to the original set as possible, this micro-scale build opens up at the back as the original set did, has a movable drawbridge and portcullis (with simple brick locking mechanism), and has varying rock patterns around the windows that match the original set. The winch handle (while non-functional here) is also recreated as a nod to the original.
This micro-scale build is a homage to both one of my favourite childhood Lego sets, and Lego's incredible 90 year history. Happy 90th Birthday Lego!
