Friends Hedgehog Mini Box

One of my favorite LEGO sets is the Friends Hedgehog Storage Box!

This set represents a lot of “firsts” for me: it was my very first Friends set, my very first studs-out project and it was also my first set using technic pieces.

I made this version as small as possible while maintaining the logic that it had to be a functional box, it had to be studs-out and it had to use the Friends color pallet. Like the original, it would come with two sets of eyes.  I have also included one extra 1x2 so that the bow can be removed and still maintain continuity in the design. These two things would allow for the builder to be creative and “personalize” the project.

The total piece count of this mini version is 53. The original set is 249.
