[3in1] Micro 4508 Titan XP
Titan XP was a surprising mind-blowing model in 2004, ahead of its time and completely different to any other big robot previously released by LEGO. The mech designs seen in current products debuted decades ago with this set, featuring advanced building techniques with studs in multiple directions, as well as creative and bold part usages you would expect from an AFOL MOC rather than a retailer toy (minifigure legs used as fingers, for example).
Following the spirit of the original, it is also possible to build the respective minis of the alternative models, with the same parts of the main micro build.
While I am unable to choose only one favourite LEGO set, there is a selection of them I would pick, mostly from the 90s-2000s era. Contextual factors had lead to an unfairly demonization of the designs released during that segment of time. Those products introduced some great concepts, and I am determined to use contest entries like these to provide them the recognition they deserve.
