497 Galaxy Explorer / 928 Space Cruiser

Although I have never had the privilege of owning it, I feel that the Galaxy Explorer/Space Cruiser is one of the most iconic Lego sets ever made.

It played a huge part in bringing the adventure of space exploration to kids, thus creating a world of imagination and endless possibilities that would continue for decades after the first spaceships were released.

I made this model as close to the original that I could at this scale. I was inspired by an old Lego model of the Cruiser, but redesigned it to be as accurate and original as possible.
