Lego 90yearsofplay Contest Model Team 5590

Lego came with a great and creative contest for their 90th anniversary. 1 model popped up for me. Model Team is a very aged theme, but my oh my it was one of the most realistic build themes back in my younger days.

 

I tried to let the helicopter pop out and catch the right shape. with a nice usage of 2 pneumatic elements

The truck has the pipes and the grill bar popping out, and the front bumper has a nice curve just like the original large model.

The truck, the trailer and the helicopter can all be attached to each other, but can also be 3 different vehicles apart from each other

 

For me this is as micro as it can be while still doing justice to this wonderful set 5590. I hope everybody can enjoy this little micro build (model team fan or not). I would like to invite everybody to compare it with the original set.

Building and trying took me several hours, but it gave me so much joy to actually build it instead of just digitally design it.
