The Lion Knights’ Castle

Welcome to the majestic edifice known as the Lion Knights’ Castle! As you can tell, for this contest I chose to replicate set 10305–the Lion Knights’ Castle. I chose this because when I first saw the set, I immediately fell in love with it and knew I wanted to build my own version, making this the perfect opportunity! However, this set was tough to replicate due to the fact that I obviously don’t own this since it’s not out yet, and that also meant there weren’t many photos to use for reference. When planning it, there were some details I knew I needed to add including the big black tree on the side, the water wheel, and the two bigger flags. To create this model, I used a few interesting techniques. One of these was the walls of the gatehouse that are fragile and were hard to design (thanks to the portcullis). Another was the yellow flag which I made by attaching a hand to a wand that was stuck into a grille piece. This challenge was awesome and I hope that my model inspires you! :)
