EXO-FORCE: Sentai Fortress

Before Monkie Kid and Ninjago, mechs found a home at LEGO in the high-flying artistic stylings of Exo-Force! Serving as the predecessor of all modern LEGO mechs, Exo-Force shifted from the retro LEGO System stylings of Classic Space. Releasing off the heels of Knight's Kingdom II, Exo-Force utilized new ratcheted joints to great effect making some of the most affordable and well-articulated mechs that have ever graced store shelves.

Exo-Force is a theme that I have been enthralled with since its inception in 2006, so it was a no-brainer to capture the look and feel of the flagship set in micro-scale (or baby-scale). 7709: Sentai Fortress was my childhood white-whale, so now as a proud owner I wanted to share my sentiment. The lasting effects of Exo-Force has been one of joyous nostalgia I recall every time I get my hands on a new mech!
