Micro Futron Monorail Transport System

When it comes to favorite sets, I have to also consider all of the sets I have never had. Towards the top of this list is certainly the Futron Monorail Transport System. I was late to the party when it came to the original LEGO space themes and I also missed out on the monorail sets. To me, this set is the best of both worlds.

The monorails have a feature that not even the current train systems have which is the ability to ascend and descend. There are also a lot of great glass pieces that are no longer in production. Someday perhaps I will be lucky enough to obtain one of these sets but until then, I can appreciate it as a part of my wish list and a part of LEGO history.
