Micro House With Garden (376)

The House with Garden has been one of my favorite sets because it has aesthetic appeal but is also very playable. Back then, I thought the hinges were the coolest thing and that you could close the house and it would look so good but also open it, play with it, and it still looked good. The big garden was also a huge draw - who wouldn’t like a nice outdoor fireplace, a sun lounger, garden chairs with table and of course, lots of plants?

Naturally, the micro version had to have all this to make it authentic. It took quite a bit of trial and error to get the proportions right and the roof overhang on the small scale with the awnings still sticking out. It was a fun and I learned a lot. Overall, I used 76 bricks and the experience brought back memories of how much I used to play with this set and how many similar mocs it inspired.
