King's Mountain Fortress (1990) in Micro-Scale
For this 90th Anniversary Micro-Scale celebrations contest I recreated one of my favorite Lego Castles from my childhood: King's Mountain Fortress! I got this wonderful castle (set 6081, 1990) for my 8th birthday and I still have it! In this Micro-scale version I managed to include the hidden treasure (look closely and you will find a glimpse of gold) and the fantastic play feature of the trap door in the tower. It is even possible to lift the drawbridge. Building this castle back in the days was a pleasure and building this 'mini' was challenging and cool! The Micro build consists out of 184 parts. By the way, I could not leave out the ghost ... it was a very recognizable minifigure of the Castle theme from 1990 on.
I hope you will all like it and I also hope that Lego (Castle) fans recognize the original in it! Anyway, happy 90th Anniversary Lego!
