853 Auto Chassis

This will always be my favourite Lego set. I spent years dreaming of owning this and then on Christmas Day, 1980, I got one!

My micro scale 853 is a 1:4 scale. The original is 64 x 24 studs and mine is 16 x 6 studs. The original blueprint drawing that came with the 853 (pictured) was very useful for scaling everything down. I actually built this model a couple of years ago, trying to use building methods from the time 853 was released and was super excited that this contest gives me a chance to show it off :)
