Ball Jump

BULLSEYE!  Launch a LEGO ball down the adjustable ramp and make it into the gold bullseye ring.

The first requirement is to choose a launch angle for the jump. Adjust the ramp angle by pressing up or down anywhere along the ramp to determine a suitable trajectory. Next, rotate the ball release lever clockwise to open the gate and start the preloaded ball down the ramp and off of the jump.

Bonus if the ball lands within the red ring in the landing zone. Double Bullseye Bonus for landing in the gold center ring. It’s a serious challenge to find the sweet spot and hit the gold zone!

Finding the right trajectory to reach the gold ring is the biggest challenge in this task. It takes a careful and accurate movement by the robot to tilt the ramp to the correct angle. There is more than one angle that will work, but most will overshoot, undershoot or bounce around and land in the red (or, if the angle is very off, perhaps the ball will miss the landing zone entirely).
