Goal!!!

The goal (pun intended) of this exercise is to roll the ball into the goal. In this almost life-like soccer field, which has a slight slope, you will have to put in some effort to make it work. No kicking is allowed. Luckily the technical team has created a mechanism to make the ball roll and help you and your robot to make the goal.

 

The mechanism works as follows. A robot pushes the grey technical part so that the ground below the ball will be lifted. Then gravity will step in and roll the ball down the slope. If you push too soft, the ball will not really move.

 

I used red, since I have a lot of bricks to use from my personal storage.

 

In the video, you can see how it works. Since there was not robot in the area, I was lucky to have my own sight-seeing bus in the neighborhood to help out with the video. I can assure you that no minifigs were injured during the filming of the video.
