Remote Communication

Sometimes we cannot talk directly to each other. When astronauts stay on mars for instance, there are special techniques to transmit text over the far distance. Or, in the internet, there are thousands of encoding procedures to ensure nobody else, then the addressee will be able to understand the message.

In this mission the two teams on both sides of the table shall transmit a colour using a distance encoding system. This is what the entire mission looks like:

Here is how it works:
  1. Team A opens the hatch to see the colour it shall communicate.
  2. Team A moves the left slider to the position the two teams have agreed beforehand to be the position of the detected colour.
  3. Team B does the same 1. and 2.
  4. Team A detects based on the distance of the right slider which colour Team B has.
  5. Team A detects the colour of the spin box and turns its front to the required position.
