The Next Level

This mission model is left as a generic, neutral theme to focus on its game functionality. Teams will push on the blue bumper arm, which activates an internal scissor lift, raising a themed element (for example, a minifigure) to the top of the tower, making it visible to both teams and referees. The mission model will lock in place automatically with mission completion; the locking takes place using a magenta 3x3 Technic biscuit positioned as a one-way door locking mechanism. The mission model and functional mechanism are sturdy and will very consistently work for any team pushing far enough forward on the mission model’s activation arm. The scoring is easy to see and judge fairly for teams, because the model locks in the scored position, with the themed scoring element visible at the top of the tower. Referees can easily reset the model by pushing down on the convenient black ball on the magenta 3x3 locking mechanism and then sliding back out the activation arm of the mission model.
