Retro Bathing Machine
If you are planning a beach party in the Victorian era, this wonderful Bathing Machine is absolutely necessary for you.
Bathing machine - dressing room on wheels. It was popular from the 18th century until the early 20th century allowing people to enjoy swimming in the sea following the rules of etiquette of the time.
The carriage used to lowered into the water by horses and became a convenient 3-in-1 device: a locker for clothes, a deck chair, and a diving board.
Also you could have a break for "five o'clock tea" without leaving the water.
What a wonderful device!
I think this set will be a cute reminder of the good old days when people were very shy and wore funny swimwear.
