Rocket Launch at the Beach
Have you ever dreamed of watching a rocket launch while spending a fun day at the beach? Welcome to the Space Coast! Here you can meet three generations of space enthusiasts:
- An engineer, who watched launches of Apollo missions as a boy, together with his father. The vintage camera which he inherited, is still in use on special occasions.
- An astronaut, training for her next space mission and keeping fit by jogging along the beach each morning, like many of here colleagues since the 1960's.
- A child, who has just built a rocket out of sand to celebrate the day, and is now eagerly following the live coverage of the launch preparations.
The three have come to Cocoa Beach in the early morning, to find a nice spot near the water, and they are now looking forward to watching the launch of a spacecraft.
