The Intertidal Zone
Growing up in California, I spent many adventure-filled mornings and afternoons at the beach turning over rocks, picking up shells, and exploring tide pools with my brother. This diorama is a representation of some of the sea life that is found in the tide pools of the intertidal zone -- a striped shore crab, a hermit crab, sea anemones, tubeweed, sea moss, surfgrass, and coralline algae. For those of you who spent hours at the beach exploring tide pools like I did, hope this brings back some fond memories :)
