Causeway of the Giants
While many think of sand when it comes to the coast, some beaches are very rocky and one in particular is famous for it's rocky beach. I'm talking about Giant's Causeway; located off the coast of Northern Ireland. What makes it so unusual is the rows upon rows of hexagonal rock formations that make it appear as if it was a walkway. According to legend it was created by a giant in Scotland in order to cross the sea into Ireland. In reality it was created by the cooling of lava to create these pillars of basalt rock. Today we can still see these formations as these two sisters (Kate and Emily) have also come to enjoy the breath-taking site.
