After a dispute between King Thrand and Lord Zirgat, the latter vilely abducted the king's daughter. The cause of the quarrel was that Zirgat demanded a larger share of the plunder from a recently sacked city, which Thrand was unwilling to grant . Mad with grief and anger, Thrand declared war on the recreant lord.
After many months of brutal warfare and savage atrocities, the two armies met on the Plains of Sangrim. The knights and soldiers, wearied from nonstop fighting, prayed for an end to the war. Peace, however, was the last thing on the minds of Thrand and Zirgat. Their only objective was the utter destruction of the other...
