The Heart of Ninjago
When I first saw the
contest announcement, I paused to really think through what Ninjago is about.
Of course the villains are one of the most exciting and engaging parts but in
the end, they all come and go. The true constant is the ninja that Master Wu has
connected and supported for the last ten years that have become a chosen
family. He has certainly trained them to fight and secret ninja techniques but
more importantly, he has taught them the importance of both supporting and
relying on each other. Time and again, we see the ninja falling back on these
lessons as they work together to protect Ninjago from destruction.
With that in mind,
I've done my best to create a 'painting' that would fit in a Ninjago museum as
a visual representation of the true heart of Ninjago. As you can see Wu serves
as the central point connecting and supporting all of the ninja. The ninja surround
Wu but are also both supporting and leaning on one another to complete the
circle.
