Scene: The Bridge of Khazad-Dum

“like a great shadow, in the middle of which was a dark form, of man-shape maybe, yet greater… The flames roared up to greet it, and wreathed about it; and a black smoke swirled in the air. Its streaming mane kindled, and blazed behind it. In its right hand was a blade like a stabbing tongue of fire; in its left it held a whip of many thongs."

When the Balrog of Morgoth tries to get past The Bridge of Khazad-dum to kill the fellowship of the ring, Gandalf says "YOU SHALL NOT PASS!" This is one of the most iconic scenes in The Lord of the Rings trilogy, that is why I decided to build it in Lego form. It was tough trying to figure out how to make the Balrog. I looked online for some inspiration and here you have it, the Balrog of Morgoth on the Bridge of Khazad-dum.

I made this build awhile ago, but never really did anything with it. When I saw that there was a Lego Ideas competition I was so excited to show off my build. I put a lot of work into it so I hope you like it.
