Location: Hobbiton
When I think of The Lord of the Rings, I immediately think of the prosperous, green Shire, with a lake, a water mill next to it, trees and the houses of the Hobbits. I tried to recreate this in the form of a Lego diorama of almost 16K pieces, with 5 regular Hobbit house and the Bag End with detailed inside, there are well-known and random hobbit figures, and of course Gandalf.
I used a lot of interesting techniques, for example: I used butcher knives for the Hobbit houses roofs, for the stairs in front of the Bag End, on the bridge as a decorative element. I used hammer pieces e.g. at the bottom of the stage or on the side of the wardrobe. For the plants, I used green hot dog, ice cream, etc. elements, while for the fireworks I used transparent fans and magic wands, which I attached to transparent wheel elements of different sizes using bar elements. I used suitcase pieces for the bottom of the water mill. I used transparent flowers to achieve the flowing water texture.
