Scene: "My Business Is With Isengard Tonight. With Rock and Stone."
“Many of these trees were my friends, creatures I had known from nut and acorn."
This scene depicting the attack of the Ents on Isengard has been one of the most challenging I have ever done. Organic shapes are always one of the hardest te create in Lego, even more so one that also has to move! Making Treebeard out of Lego was a real challenge but also very fun. I'm especially proud of how his face turned out; I really think I managed to get an expression in there trough various forms of NPU. I also discovered how versatile the lasso piece is! And can you spot the number of frogs I used?
Through the use of ball joints and clips, Treebeard is fully posable but also really sturdy, meaning he can move in his characteristically slow but deliberate manner to get rid of Isengard and Saruman once and for all...
I also had a lot of fun creating the wall with various forms of SNOT techniques, and the field of tree stumps.
I hope you like it as much as I do!
Cheers!
