Location: Hobbiton

For my entry, I built Hobbiton, a peaceful village at the center of the Shire. I tried my best to capture the lush landscape and the curves of the rolling hills using many parts at different slants. It was also important to me that I incorporated a variety of hobbit holes. I ended up featuring Bilbo's and Samwise's houses and I am very proud of the variations I was able to create between the two. Bagend is much larger and features brighter colors while Sam's house is earthier and more humble, even sharing a chimney with another hobbit hole. A particularly challenging aspect of Sam's house was all the angles. The roof featured three separate sections which all had to blend together and on top of that the entire structure was at an angle to the rest of the build. Bagend had similar challenges with its windows, stone staircase, and curved stone wall. I am also proud of the different types of trees I managed to fit in with the one above Bagend being my personal favorite. Hope you enjoy!
