Scene: The Bridge of Khazad-Dûm
In this memorable scene, the fellowship have nearly escaped the mines of Moria, when a terrible demon of shadow and flame awakens - the Balrog!
The fellowship looks on in despair while Gandalf the Grey remains on the bridge, to face the Balrog all alone. In the background two orcs have given chase, who also try to stop the fellowship from escaping.
The centerpiece is the narrow bridge, which can be split to recreate the moment when Gandalf is ensnared by the Balrog and pulled down into the abyss.
The Balrog sports articulated arms, legs, tail and mouth.
The larger base features two tall columns joined by an arch, and a broken staircase inspired by the action-packed scene in the film where the fellowship jumps across a gap in the crumbling stairs.
The smaller base showcases dwarven stone carvings, and a staircase leading out from the dark mines.
